While projectors mostly have input connections so you can connect a video or data source to them, they often also have some outputs.

Monitor out

The most common output you will find is monitor out or monitor loop through.
This VGA output is used so you can see the image on a monitor (for example a lectern mounted monitor) at the same time as it is being projected. This allows you see the image while facing the audience.

Sometimes the VGA output is shared with a VGA input so you can use it either as a second input or as an output.

Audio out

In the same way as the monitor loop through allows you to connect to an external monitor, the audio out allows you to connect to external speakers or audio system.
In most cases the audio output is a 3.5mm mini jack connection.
